The winner was announced last Thursday morning [Malaysian time lah of course].

I kinda predicted this. Nicole is clearly the most model like, apart from her awkward socializing skill. And apparently they still have the cover girl commercial done. But i'm not liking either of the girl's photo. But surely, Nicole's photo look better. There's that confidence. Laura looks a bit lost in the photo. When she's on the photoshoot, she's thinking about milkshake wor~ LOL not a good choice... later instead of happy look, glutton look pulak showed on the face fully come with droll some more~ LOL But no doubt Laura is pretty lah lah, but in person not so pretty wor. I do like her personlaity. Bubbly. When it comes to the commercial~ both struggles. Nicole have no trouble with the line but she appear to be cocky. Laura being dyslexic, struggles with her lines but at the end she managed to pull it off. I like the commercial. It's filmed in the country side... lotta green, unlike the glam lifestyle the other Covergirl commercial that had been done in the past.

 

As for the runway show, i thought the concept of "fire, wind and water element" was very interesting. And they bring back the top 6 models for the show. Hmmm i think this is the short girl runway show lor. Like they can't find enough so they bring back the other 4 girls. Hmmm does that mean the 4 girls stayed in Hawaii for the entire time? Wah! Jealous!

Both Nicole and Laura's walk wasn't that strong. And i thought Laura's walk was a little better. Nicole walks like godzilla and i was surprised they didnt butcher her at the panel!!

At the end, Nicole's photo appeared on the screen. I do agree that Nicole have a much stronger set of portfolio. And in person, she looks like a model already.

 

Bumber to bumber? boob crash?

I am happy that Nicole won. Finally, my favourite awkward girl win! Every circle the awkward girl i like either ends up as runner up or some where within the top 5... so sad...

But the question is, will she be the one who make it big? Since most past winners are working in small jobs here and there.

wind of crap

Yesterday was rainy~ In fact we didn't see the sun for the entire day here. It was a cold day. And it was damn nice! But today was the total opposite. It's sunny and blue sky but it's windy~ not that i am complaining. And since i didnt work outdoor yesterday, i worked outdoor for quite a long while today~ replace yesterday's work lor.

I was on the forklift kan, but it was parked. Was waiting for Jet to come. Then i saw the trees from a far swayed. Followed by the leaves on the ground blowing my way~ i know hor that a gush of wind is going to blow my hair... and i will turn my head from side to side~ konon nak buat hair commercial kan~

So when the wind finally reaches me, i extended my arms wide wide open [you know lah, like Jack and Rose in Titanic like that] & i took in a deep breath... &.... i choked *cough*cough*.

Choi! i didn't noticed that the wind was coming from the direction where the dogs' toilet is located! Dammit! The wind brought me awful smell of dog poops! *pui*pui* And the smell lingered in my nostril for hours! Chilakak!

road kill

Certain roads have encountered a lot of vehicle accidents. But there was this short stretch of road halfway between Seremban and the Port Dickson Highway Toll, which i considered is the place animals would go... to commit suicide. Seriously~ like each week there are at least 2 dead animals being run over by vehicles. Though mostly the victims are dogs... there have been time i saw dead roosters, snakes, monitor lizards and one time... it was something really huge~ like as huge as a fat 5 year old kid! I suspect it could be a goat or something. Can't really tell coz it was too mashed up!

But how can these cars hit these animals? Is it really that hard to miss? OmG~ if i freaking ran over an animal~ i'll be haunted forever! Oh wait! I have ran over a snake before! Oh gosh. I felt bad! i really do! And oh ya, sometimes we hit the brake just a second to late... and an animal is dead. Ya.. That’s so what happen with the snake.

It's disgusting AND sad to see these dead animals... especially the dogs. Coz' it's so common! Sometimes, i thought maybe the stray dogs would be better off dead. It's too cruel to be wandering around as a dog. I somehow felt they are incapable to live as wild animals. Cats know how to hunt but dogs... lets face it... they are pretty useless. And they become sick and looking all disgusting. They are pretty much nothing without human's companion. So people! DO Not abandon your dogs please... I know that for most cases... it's the stupid dog itself that ran away geh... Haiyu~ see la, stupid animals. Say wanna pity them also can't.

 There's this one time, i saw this dead dog by the road~ it's dead but pretty much in good condition, i think most body parts was attached. But it's gotten all swollen and big and it has white fur. The next day, the fur turned brownish and the bottom part started to rot. And the following day~ it totally deflated and had completely turned black, like charcoal... and on the same day, when i left work... the shape of the dog had completely gone. leaving a black spot like a burned mark on the grass... spooky! and the SMELL!! gosh! Didn't know a living thing decay so fast!

ANTM cycle 13: fab's thought

Where is Sutan? I miss him~! especially after cycle 12. We get to see him so much, especially around Allison. He seems to be drawn to Allison. Made me wonder if there is anything going on between them. LOL always seen hugging her, sitting on her lap, pinching her and etc. But this cycle we see another "queen"... quite manly though...

There is no final 3... but i wasn't that bothered by it. What seemed weird is that the tradition of having "COVER GIRL" themed photoshoot for the final 3 [in this case final 4] has been omitted entirely wor. I thought having that shoot was important for these girls especially... mainly because they are short and their money making asset are their faces. Maybe they are cutting down the cost of the production? The Cover girl shoot does cost more than just standing on a rock you know~ Just the rental of the studio already can save them quite a few bucks.

Another evidence of their lack of budget is their supposedly international destination~ have a look at the past shall we?

All the destinations except for this cycle are outside of America~ Brazil is still outside of America coz' they do need passport to cross the boarder right? Correct me if i'm wrong lor... At first when they announced "HAWAII!!" i was like wah! [just coz it's my dream destination] but then i thought, that's still is America!! Are they cutting down the budget already? Or because this is the petite cycle, they didn't invest that much into it...?? Or maybe the cover girl shoot is for the remaining 2 finalist only? Hmmm we will find out soon!

Ep.6 : Dance With Me

The girls were flown to Vegas and were put in group of 3 to pose with few casts of Cirque du Soleil. Shot by regular ANTM photographer, Mike Rosenthal... the concept is very beautiful and colourful. Surprisingly hor, the best girls didn't do so well while the average ones did really good. But of course, the lousy ones are still lousy~ LOL.

Rae was the best and her group got called out first.

 Rae got most part of her body covered, but it's was her "smizing" that made her the best of the bunch. Jennifer was the weakest in the photo, coz yet again... bended legs are a no no! Wakaka

 

Sundai Was the best in the photo and according to the judges, it was Nicole who brought the group down... and again lor... the legs! LOL But i really like the composition as a whole wor...

 

 Laura could have won if she weren't paired with the 2 worst contestants. Kara as usual was just being stiff. Ashley finally left! It's about time! She's really super stiff on camera lor.

Ep.7 : Petite Ninja Warriors

The girls have 2 set of shoot. The first set was on the ground and the second set was being wired on a harness. Photographed by Patricia Van Oh, i thought the photos are cool. i love it. But i do wish that the girls showed more variety of movement and poses.

 

Her pose is beautiful, But all 3 poses are almost the same. In fact the one on the left and the one on the right was the same... she's just been rotated on the harness... Despite that, i like her expression and her eyes... damn strong! f~~~~eirce!

 

I think of all the girl, Laura showed the most varieties of movements and poses. The only thing setting her back was her bottom. black pants against black background? Are they trying to murder her?? Love the third pose the most out of all the poses by all the girls.

 

Again, almost repetitious. I don't really have much to say though~ LOL

 

Gosh! she looks like Avril Lavigne here! Kudos to her for trying the spinning upside down movement. At least her poses wasn't repetitious.

 

The judges actually love this, they love her expression~ But i think she looks like dead fish wor... But they did say it's not very modelish lah~ which i have to agree~

 

This reminds me of the bride with white hair. which isn't really a bad thing. Bridget lin is a hottie in those kungfu movies. Actually i quite like this. I think it's better than Jennifer lor.

 

The judges comment that her poses are all three the same. And i'm like so was most of the rest wat~ But then it was actually her expression lor. She looks uncomfortable. 

  

 This one she's like so out of control. And the poses isn't exactly kungfu poses. The girls were thought how to move before the shoot. Obviously, dear Kara didn't pay attention.

 Ep.8 : Interview 101

This is the interview and commercial week. Nigel was the commercial director wor. Hmmm since when he took on directing a commercial wor? Weird. I would have preferred Mr.J do it. More laser mah.

I thought poor Nicole would do very badly. I was ready to see her crash. mana tau! i think she's the best among the bunch! But~~~~ the judges and Tyra especially have to pick on her. Saying she wasn't being herself. Like hello~ this is a commercial. Most actors/actresses are fake anyway~! I thought as long she sold the product, it's a winner. Jennifer won instead. She's good, but i think towards the end, she flipped her head around too much!

Erin wasn't shown in this clip~ Hers is a total disaster! she cried and basically it was awful and sad! But Erin went home instead!! See lah, they are bias!! If Erin win i will ban the show forever! LOL

Ep.9 : Let's Go Surfing

The remaining 6 girls were flown to Hawaii. For the second time, Tyra was the photographer for the shoot. The girls were taken to a sugar-cane plantation, where they portrayed women of mixed heritage, like Hawaiian hapas. I must say i love this set of photos~ faboo make-up and amazing outfit and beautiful background!

 

I would have been so mad if this photo wasn't being called first. Coz' this is my favourite photo of the cycle! The dress is amazing! the hair, the pose the expression. Even her fingers are perfect! LOVE LOVE LOVE! oh btw, Nicole portrayed mixed heritage of Japanese and Malagasy.

 

This is another beautiful photo. But according to the judges hor, it's more Nat geo than Vogue. But i have to disagree! If lets say, this is a spread in the pages of Vogue for jeweleries or neck pieces. She totally sold it kay~ Jen here portrayed mixed heritage of Batswana & Polynesian.

 

Laura looks so sexy here! Being a cuckoo country girl, She sure can transform when on set! I love it! She portrayed mixed heritage of Mexican & Greek.

 

I think she did poorly. She looks like a kid and she looks shorter than she actually is. She portrayed mixed heritage of Russian & Moroccan.

 

I think this photo wasn't that bad. She was chosen as bottom two because of the presence on set. It's like her soul wasn't there. Erin portrayed mixed heritage of Tibetan & Egyptian.

 

 I think this wasn't so bad. Wit hall the cloth, she still can show her body~ She does have a lot to work with and it's not easy at all. It's obvious~ Brit portrays mixed heritage of East Indian & Native American.

Ep.10 : Dive Deeper

Oh i love this photoshoot by photographer Russell James! The girls were taken to the middle of the ocean kan~ and they have to pose under the sea! Not the usual underwater shoot in swimming pools or custom made tanks. But however, it would be much more cool if there were fishes, or sharks even! LOL Hey! in old cycles, some episodes had the girls pose with something dangerous. There were none this cycle kay! 

Every girls gets to go down to the sea, pose pose pose then comes back up and be briefed by Mr. J and then goes back in for the second time except Erin because for the challenge, Nicole won the extra frames and she gets to choose one to share with and the one chosen gets to choose another and so on till one was left without any extra frames.

 

She got picked first~ the first time in. she wasn't doing good at all. But after Mr. J told her what she should do, she goes back in and let it all loose... This is really nice.

 

Nicole did really well too. But i agreed with the judges, that if she were to point her left feet & extend the leg, it would be so much more nicer!

 

She struggled badly, because she's not very good with the sea and had some sorta' fears. But she pushed herself and it wasn't that bad! in fact, i think, she went pretty deep, deep enough to captured the corals~! prettie!

 

Ouch! this is terrible to look at. It's like she's drowning~ i thought she would leave looking at this photo. But she stayed. I think she stayed mainly because she didn't get a second chance. She did the whole shoot without any guidance or what so ever. Well, for that i guess she deserved to stay gua.

 

This is not that bad i thought but then again she got a second chance and still didn't quite nailed it. And she kept saying she got asthma and can't hold her breath to which everyone else responded with, "many divers have asthma"...

Ep.12 : Hawaiian Hip Hop

The final 4! They have to do a hula hip hop for their challenge and OMG! Nicole is so awkward but yet she didn't give up. Because of that, i see that as funny more than sad. Some people got lost and totally gave up and their face looks like wanna cry liao. That kind made me feel pity for them. They are just sad... But Nicole, she even smile.

As for the photoshoot, i wasn't digging the concept that much, seeing this is their LAST photoshoot. Damn right. No final three this cycle. Out of the 4 girls, 2 left this episode, leaving 2 to battle it out on the runway next week.

Her face was pretty, but from the show, i thought she would have better shot! This wasn't that great seeing it's for the determination of the top 2!

 Again, face was great but the body! She has no neck even when she's facing front! and the proportion was a bit weird. Like the head looks too big! I was surprised she got chosen as the finalist!

The ones eliminated are:

For some reason, she did very poorly on set this episode and i was surprised. Even though i love her bubbly & positive personality... and how i love her poses sometimes... i am not loving her expression. She only have one expression and it wasn't even a good one! Her signature was her open mouth! it's not even those partially opened kind. It's like so open, it can catch a bird!! I'm serious. It doesn't look flattering. When they show all her photos when she got eliminated, all the photos had her mouth open! But seriously, of all the asian, i like her personality the most!

 

I thought this photo was the best among the 4!! The problem is that she doesn't have a great set to choose from. According to Tyra, this is the only usable photo. Maybe because of that!

so.... who will be the next top model? I'm thinking it's Nicole. I like her since the very beginning. She's good at everything. She won the go-see. She won the most challenge. She's been chosen as 1st 3 times, and 2nd for 4 times. Actually, out of these 4 girls, only Erin have been in bottom 2 [3 times]. From 2 episodes earlier, i already know Nicole will be final 2. But was just unsure which between Jen And Laura will be final 2.
